Maria Parisi

AGNP-C PMHNP-BC

I’m a dual-trained practitioner in psychiatry and adult medicine, dedicated to offering deeply personalized, holistic, and evidence-based care. My approach integrates conventional medicine with the best of natural healing โ€” including nutrition, lifestyle, supplements, and mind-body therapies โ€” to uncover and treat the root causes of illness, rather than just masking symptoms.

My medical philosophy is grounded in science, shaped by experience, and guided by compassion. Iโ€™ve walked this path myself โ€” both as a patient and as a provider โ€” and I know firsthand how complex, overwhelming, and deeply personal health journeys can be. Itโ€™s why I treat every patient as if they were my own family, advocating for outcomes that prioritize not just symptom relief but true healing and quality of life.

My clinical experience spans critical care, perioperative services, and chronic pain management โ€” all of which have deeply influenced my perspective on mental health. Iโ€™ve seen how often emotional and psychological suffering coexist with physical illness, and how overlooked psychiatric care can be in medical settings. This is what led me to pursue integrated training in both medicine and psychiatry, so that my patients can receive the full spectrum of care โ€” body and mind โ€” in one place.

Academically, I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Montclair State University. I went on to earn a Master of Science in Nursing as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner, followed by a Post-Masterโ€™s Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health from Fairleigh Dickinson University. My background allows me to provide truly comprehensive care across the lifespan, with an understanding of both acute medical needs and long-term mental wellness.

Iโ€™m also a proud mother of two incredible young men. Raising them, advocating for their unique educational and emotional needs, and witnessing their growth into adulthood has deeply informed the empathy and perspective I bring to my work.

Outside the clinic, I stay grounded through movement, cooking, gardening, and time outdoors. I believe that health is sustained by daily practices โ€” not just prescriptions โ€” and that joy, nourishment, and personal connection are powerful forms of medicine in their own right.

If youโ€™re seeking care that respects the full complexity of who you are, and aims for healing that goes beyond symptom management, I invite you to connect.
